M.D. CONDUCTOR and PRESENTER

Sarag Freestone MD Conductor and Presenter Sarah has been Musical Director for over 40 musical theatre, opera and ballet productions, most recently the ballet "Winter Dreams" for the Royal Opera House. She conducts and presents the Guildford Philharmonic, Dartford Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Thames Gateway and the Kingston University Chorus and Chamber Choir. Last year Sarah conducted the premier of Tim Steiner's Hunter Gatherer with the BBC Concert Orchestra on Radio 3.

She has been conducting/presenting orchestral concerts for the past nine years from traditional Viennese New Year, classical and contemporary programmes to Broadway, Hollywood and Rock & Pop presentations. Sarah's arrangements of world music, pop, musical theatre and light music (including commissions from the BBC and Royal Opera House) have been performed worldwide.

Sarag Freestone MD Conductor and Presenter Her education work includes directing creative projects for the BBC Concert Orchestra, BBC Proms, London Philharmonic Orchestra and Trinity Laban and she lectures in conducting at Kingston University.

Recent programmes devised by Sarah include music by Chick Corea, Mendelssohn, Sondheim, Piazzolla, Elbow, Mozart, Dizzy Gillespie ("Summer Nights - Love Songs and Latin Grooves" with the Swingle Singers) and Byrd, Eric Whitacre, Stephen Schwartz and Stravinsky with Kingston University Chamber Choir.
